Brian Thomas

Brian got his start in the insurance industry joining Martin & Company in 2012 as a Data Analyst. His involvement grew from there both in development of M&C’s technology solutions as well as relationships with technology vendors. After some time as a Project Manager and Cloud Engineer in another industry, Brian returned to Martin & Company in September 2022 as Business & Client Solutions Manager with a focus on technology initiatives.

Greg Calhoun

Greg comes to us from the accounting industry where he developed internal automated solutions for the tax compliance team. Wanting to move into application development, he joined the Martin & Company team to update and maintain M&C’s web applications (FilingsDirect.com, OneView, and Bureau Monitoring ADVISOR). He primarily works alongside our competitive intelligence team to improve our clients’ user experience. Recently graduating from Temple University’s Information Science and Technology program, Greg brings a different perspective to M&C’s application development. Greg recently left Philadelphia and currently resides in Havertown, PA.

Michael Shay

Mike has 25+ years’ experience in all phases of software development ranging from architecture, business analysis, solution design, application development, QA testing, deployments, integrations, and support. Mike is currently focusing on Quality Assurance of the company’s web sites as well as introducing development life cycle best practices. Also, Mike is one of our thought leaders regarding the company’s technology strategy and is always looking for ways to apply new technologies and methods so we can better serve our customers.

Mike’s technical background includes degrees in Chemistry (BS) and Computer Science (MS).

Mike resides in PA with his family. In his time off he enjoys playing golf and hiking in State parks.

John Alizzi

John has worked directly with the Technology & Development Team. In addition, John helps maintain and update various web applications for Martin & Company such as our State Filings Management Solution - OneView, FilingsDirect.com, and MyCircularActivity (MCA).

John graduated from Cabrini University in 2017 where he studied Business Management and Finance. He currently resides in Havertown, PA. In his spare time, John enjoys playing basketball and golf, hanging out with friends and family, and watching sports.

Jason Keen

Jason is our Team Lead/Principal Engineer. He joins Martin & Company with 15 years of experience in web application and software development. For the past 9 years, Jason has been building cutting edge analytic and population health management software for the Healthcare industry, playing an integral part of the development teams at a senior level for two of the largest players in the population health management technology space.

Jason has managed projects and teams and has been heavily involved in every aspect of the software development life cycle, while always striving to ultimately create a better end user experience by making an extra effort to have in depth understanding of the business needs and coming up with creative solutions to solve them. He specializes in the Microsoft .NET Platform and SQL Server, writing and managing both application and database code, as well as creating responsive fluid workflows and user interfaces.

After many years in healthcare, he has decided to make the transition to the insurance industry as he leads development efforts here at Martin & Company.

Jason graduated from Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, MO in 2003 with an Associate of Internet and Web Based Technology. Ranken’s hands on curriculum and placement program put him straight into the industry and he has been actively involved ever since.

Jason resides in St. Charles, MO with his wife and 3 children. In his free time Jason likes to be outdoors, and enjoys building and tinkering with things in general, as well as spending time with his kids. His hobbies are aerial cinematography, building and flying his drones, and competitive drone racing. In the winter months he looks forward to snowboarding vacations with his family.
