Trish Carey

Trish began her insurance career in 2015 on the Property & Casualty side of the industry. While in the industry, she had gained experience working on Claims, and then shifted her focus on working on State Filings. Trish has completed filings in all states. She has experience with filing various P&C products, responding to objections and communicating with regulators.

Trish attained her Associates Degree in Hawaii Tokai International College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Temple University. She resides in King of Prussia, PA with her husband, Nicholas and her two young daughters, Gwendolyn and Nicolette.

Christine Dennis

Christine has over 39 years’ experience working in the insurance industry that includes work in Underwriting, Compliance and Product Development for companies, regulatory authorities and as an independent consultant. She has extensive experience with preparation and filing of forms and rule/rate manuals, specializing in many lines of business including Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Mobile Homeowners, Umbrella and Commercial Residential.

Christine earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from Florida State University and her AAI and AINS designations from the Institutes. She was formerly a resident licensed agent in New York and Florida, with non-resident status in South Carolina and Louisiana.

Christine lives in Florida with her Schipperke, Maddie. She enjoys spending time with her Grandson, Bear, and travelling. In 2022, she took her second trip to Fiji.

Susan Myers

Susan began her insurance career working for USAA in roles within the Claims, Sales, and Underwriting Departments. She worked in Personal Lines, and she had experience with all products in all fifty states. While working at USAA, she obtained the CPCU designation, Florida Agent’s license, and an MBA.

Susan worked for American Strategic Insurance, a Florida based property insurance company, where she was responsible for personal lines filings and some commercial and Umbrella filings.  She handled rate and rule filings for the company’s state expansion project where she assisted with the company’s expansion into 47 states.  She helped with compliance requirements, regulatory research, competitor research, and worked on projects in support of Product Management and Development. At Progressive, Susan was responsible for personal lines rate and rule filings in all fifty states and provided support for their Product Management, Legal and Underwriting Departments. Susan also helped with providing documentation for market conduct exams as well as with preparing products for programming. 

Susan worked briefly for Aspen Insurance and was responsible for commercial filings in support of Product Development and Legal. During her time there, she worked on Professional Liability filings. Susan retired last year; however, she has returned to work part-time for Martin and Company and is responsible for form, rate and rule commercial filings for various clients.

Susan is originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey and has lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1977.  She holds a BA in Business Administration from USF in Tampa, Florida and an MBA from Regis University in Denver, CO.  She loves living in Florida and is currently relocating to Ocala, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her cat, Tommy.

Stephanie Marlow

Stephanie has over 13 years in P&C Insurance and is a Subject Matter Expert for the Workers’ Compensation line of business. Her experience includes identifying trends and opportunities for WC, creating manual rating worksheets, and assistance with the development WC underwriting guidelines. Some of her accomplishments include the implementation of a WC program in all voluntary jurisdictions, implementation of a WC large deductible program, and implementation of a WC territorial rating program.

She is a member of The American Society of Workers Comp Professionals (AMCOMP). Responsibilities have included: Form, Rate & Rule development and state filings, testing and training of system changes, statistical reporting, and researching system/product issues and finding resolutions.

Prior to her insurance career, Stephanie worked for manufacturing companies as their Safety and Environmental Manager. She helped develop and implement safety training manuals and programs, along with providing training to the employees. She was also responsible for any state/federal reporting of workers compensation claims and environmental reports. When she is not working, Stephanie enjoys taking her dog for walks, gardening and enjoying the outdoors.

Julidden Smith

Prior to joining the M&C team Julidden was a Corporate Compliance Analyst with State National Insurance Company (SNIC), an operating brand of the Markel Corporation, a Fortune 500 holding company. Julidden’s was responsible for all company licensing including handling UCAA amendments, primary applications, and expansion applications. She was also responsible for annual filings required by State Departments of Insurance, State Financial Divisions, and Secretary of State. Prior to her insurance career she has 15+ years banking experience with a background in operations and compliance.

Julidden holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Management and an MBA from Florida Institute of Technology. Julidden resides in Mississippi with husband Dontay and 2 children. She enjoys spending time with family, home improvement projects, and traveling.

Lorna Williams

Lorna began her career with 11 years at Reliance Insurance Company followed by 16 years with Global Indemnity Group. In her most recent position at Global Indemnity, Lorna was responsible for preparing, submitting, and maintaining all commercial lines rate, rule and form filings. Lorna’s state filing experience consisted of ISO based products, Automobile, Equine, Vacant Dwelling, General Liability, Crime, Fire & Allied Lines and various other related commercial lines. She was an active member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) and is proficient with the SERFF filing system. Lorna was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, truly enjoys volunteering at The Children Hospital of Philadelphia, and is actively involved with her church.

Nicole Wample

Nicole began her insurance career in 2007 with AXA XL where she held a variety of positions, all within the Regulatory Compliance department.  She handled various commercial property and casualty lines of business including, but not limited to, Professional Liability, Commercial Umbrella and Excess, Commercial General Liability, and Commercial Property.  Nicole’s last position at AXA XL consisted of being a liaison between the various business units and the Regulatory Compliance department, preparing products and supporting documents for filing, and handling state objections.  Previous roles she held involved making filings for bureau adoptions and proprietary products, as well as loading forms to the company’s form library. 

Nicole also worked for MetLife as a Contract Development Analyst for Life, Accident, and Health products. Her responsibilities here included issuing policies, monitoring legislative changes, processing applications, addressing policy language, and filing submissions as needed. 

Nicole resides in Newark, DE with her husband and two children.  When she is not working, Nicole enjoys baking, gardening, and playing the piano. 

Laura Lemke

Laura joined Martin & Company in 2021, as a Senior State Filing Analyst. Laura has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently with W.R. Berkley Corporation, and prior to that with American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS) and GuideOne.  She has experience preparing, submitting, and maintaining form, rate, and rule filings for both commercial and personal lines of business, as well as reviewing ISO, NCCI, AAIS and various independent bureau circulars.  Laura also has a strong product development and compliance background and familiar with the UCAA application process for company licensing. Laura has taken various insurance courses, earning her ACP designation, and has been an active member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP), including two terms as chapter secretary, and has attended many conferences.

Laura lives in Des Plaines, Illinois with her husband Rick.  She has two grown children (Ricky and Kaitlynn) and a grandson (Jase).

Ally Schell

Ally began her insurance career at M&C playing a key role in supporting our OneView State Filing Management Solution platform. Noticing her organization skills and her ability to learn the business quickly Ally moved over to the State Filing Team assisting Senior Analysts with their state submissions. Ally is also a key member of our Company Licensing team handling many aspects of Primary and Expansion Applications, as well as Corporate Amendments. She is also very familiar with the UCAA application process.

​Ally graduated from Cabrini University with a Business Management degree. She currently resides outside of Philadelphia, PA. In her free time, she enjoys going outside and hitting softballs and playing with her 2 dogs.

Larry Wilk

Larry has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has held technical and supervisory/management positions in a career that includes three insurance companies, a trade association, state insurance department (Vermont), consulting firm, and a stint as a self-employed consultant.

Experience across many lines of business including Allied Health, Aviation, Cyber & Network Security, Professional / Medical Liability, Pet Health, Crime, Oil & Gas, Property, General Liability and Umbrella/Excess. Also involved with Life, Long Term Care and Credit Life and Disability filings.

His past duties also include company licensing and statistical reporting.

Larry is a member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) and has participated on various committees at the national and chapter level. He is also a past Treasurer of the Great Lakes Chapter.

Larry is a runner and completed the Chicago Marathon four times in the 1980’s. Currently, he runs mostly 5K and 10K’s. In the rest of his spare time, he enjoys vegetable gardening, reading, watching sports and spending time outside with the family cats Oatmeal and Calypso.
