Hannah joined Martin & Company in 2023, bringing with her over twenty years of P&C ratemaking and rate filing experience in commercial lines (property, liability, auto, workers compensation, umbrella/excess) and personal lines (home, auto, umbrella), over fifteen years of experience in predictive modeling, and over five years of experience in reserving. Her work has spanned product types from reference to proprietary and sizes from small businessowners to large commercial package and monoline.
As Actuarial & Modeling Manager for Merchants Insurance Group, Hannah led development, rate filing, systems implementation, and post-launch monitoring efforts for new predictive model-based tiering and rating plans across all product lines. Her career mission has been to make predictive modeling accessible to the small/medium insurance organization or product. To this end, she has assembled a toolbox of “Small Data” methods that minimize data size requirements and implementation costs while maximizing lift.
Hannah has earned the CSPA (Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics) designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Master’s degree in Applied Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently pursuing the ACAS designation.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys hiking (or snowshoeing, depending on the season). She resides in Buffalo, NY.
