Bureau Monitoring ADVISOR Enhancements and New Design

Martin & Company announces enhancements to Bureau Monitor ADVISOR (BMA), the web-based interactive solution for monitoring Bureau circulars. The overall design of the site has been updated along with a completely new user interface. BMA will still retain the same dynamic functionality that clients are accustomed to with the ability to make assignments and store company-specific information related to each circular. In addition, M&C rolled out a new historical data import service allowing clients to map past circular data directly into BMA.

Martin & Company is pleased to announce enhancements to our Life & Health (L&H) unit.  We have had numerous requests to extend our proprietary state filing platform, actuarial, compliance and product development services to the L&H segment of the insurance industry.  We want to thank all of our clients for their encouragement to better serve this business sector.  Those who attended the recent Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) conference in Orlando, FL in September were also excited to learn that Martin & Company is moving forward with plans to expand their services to the L&H market.

Martin & Company Announces Release of Compliance Surveys in Partnership with NAMIC

Martin & Company is proud to announce the launch of Compliance Surveys, a new dynamic online compliance database developed in partnership with the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (“NAMIC”).

After seeing the capabilities of other Martin & Company web applications Status Report ADVISOR (“SRA”) and Bureau Monitoring ADVISOR (“BMA”), NAMIC reached out for consultation on how to build a similarly structured database for the information captured in their “50-State Survey” PDF documents. NAMIC recognized how critical compliance is, especially for insurance companies writing in multiple states, and wanted to provide their members with a straightforward yet robust solution.

Compliance Surveys, the result of this partnership, allows NAMIC members to search, filter and navigate through compliance information on over 60 topics. Information is summarized in unique fields specific to each topic and links to state sites for the full text of the citations and/or bulletins. Users are able to search on exactly which states, categories and topics they are most interested in and create customized filter presets that produce Excel and PDF exports.

Martin & Company (“M&C”), a leader in insurance consulting and regulatory services, today announced a new strategic alliance with information provider Verisk Insurance Solutions, a leading source of information about property/casualty insurance risk. Verisk Insurance Solutions is a Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq:VRSK) business.

The alliance brings together Verisk’s Insurance Services Office (“ISO”) circular information with M&C’s Bureau Monitoring ADVISOR (“BMA”), a proprietary web-based solution for monitoring ISO circulars, in addition to industry bureaus. The alliance will provide M&C direct access to ISO circulars, allowing for the efficient monitoring, managing, and assessing of the circulars, which will assist companies with the necessary responsive action in an effort to remain compliant. ISO provides statistical, actuarial, underwriting, and claims information and analytics; compliance and fraud identification tools; policy language; information about specific locations; and technical services. ISO serves insurers, reinsurers, agents and brokers, insurance regulators, risk managers, and other participants in the property/casualty insurance marketplace.
