Insurance Product Development Specialist

Martin & Company is a leading industry consulting and advisory firm for the U. S. Insurance market. Our core business segments include State Filings; Company Licensing; Compliance & Regulatory; Product Development; Actuarial Consulting and Competitive Intelligence.

As a result of our continued growth, we have an excellent opportunity for an Insurance Product Development Specialist, and we are seeking a qualified candidate to fill this position. You will become part of an accomplished team of industry professionals with knowledge and experience across many lines of business and programs.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and finalize policy forms and endorsements
• Assist with manual rate and rule development
• Review policy forms and endorsements
• Work with regulatory team to ensure compliance with state requirements
• Review endorsements to ensure proper alignment with coverage forms
• Peer review policy/coverage forms and endorsements
• Research/Review regulatory requirements countrywide

Requirements:

• Product development and form drafting skills
• Strong product research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Proofreading and formatting proficiency
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO coverages/manuals; experience with AAIS and independent bureaus is a plus
• Experience with Admitted and E&S products countrywide – Commercial and Personal Lines

Qualifications:

• 5 years of related work experience

• Property & Casualty insurance knowledge and experience
• Product Development background with focus on policy forms and endorsements

Qualified candidates must be detail oriented, analytical, accurate, organized, disciplined, able to work under time constraints, self-motivated, energetic, flexible, customer service oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.  Excellent time management skills are valuable.
