Martin & Company has an excellent career opportunity available for an Insurance Licensing & Coverage Specialist. The individual will be responsible for preparing and submitting insurance company licensing applications as well as Coverage review.
Responsibilities
Prepare Primary, Expansion, and Corporate Amendment Applications for various companies
Review material to ensure compliance with various state requirements
Coordinate and exchange information internally, with clients and state regulators
Stay up-to-date on licensing requirements by maintaining in-depth knowledge of all processes
Update and maintain company licensing data
Research laws and regulations
Review and/or develop coverage forms and endorsements to ensure compliance
Interpret state DOI directives, i.e. bulletins, statutes, regulations, etc.
Effectively collaborate and communicate with clients and regulators to foster relationships
Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years’ directly related Insurance-industry experience
Uniform Certificate of Authority Application (UCAA) experience is required
Commercial lines experience
Working knowledge of Property & Casualty Coverages
Skills Required:
Excellent organizational skills
Research capabilities using various industry resources
Proofreading and formatting proficiency
Excellent written and oral communication
Customer service oriented
Ability to identify problems and offer solutions
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Prioritize work and maintain excellent record keeping
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Flexible to adapt with priority changes
Ability to work on multiple projects under time constraints and meet deadlines
Legal background and Agent Licensing, a plus
