Positions Available as of March 2012

State Filing Associate

Responsibilities:

Coordinating with Compliance and Actuarial units in the development of policy forms, endorsements and rates for new and existing P&C products.

Preparation of State Filing Package, including Memoranda, Cover Letters, Supporting Documentation, etc.

Submission of State Filings and follow up communication with state DOIs as needed via SERFF.

Monitoring the progress of multi-line and countrywide state filing projects.
 

Consulting Actuary

Responsibilities:

Rate level analyses for various P&C products; competitor rate comparisons for filing projects; initial rate development for new projects; post-compliance reviews; coordinate with our State Filings and Product Development Departments for proper rate filing support and statement of actuarial opinions.

Work closely with our Program Business clients on analyzing performance of a particular book of business; engage in the analyses of the loss experience and recommend appropriate rate change.

Martin & Company submits thousands of rate, rule and form filings annually and our actuaries often need to work closely with our State Filing Team to respond to various Departments of Insurance interrogatories.
